Integrated Interface
For the first time, investigators and reconstructionists can enjoy analytical tools like bullet trajectory analysis, vehicle impact speed analysis, simulation, photogrammetry, and 3D animation all in one user friendly application.
Ease of Use
Only FX3 emulates many Windows functions for right click menus, and many other functions making it really simple to understand and navigate the program. The Actions tab displays all available functions for the selected tool or object. Using a mousewheel mouse for navigation makes FX3 unparalleled in ease of use, no matter how large your scene is.
Surface FX
is a powerful tool used to model terrain. Complex roadway curvatures in 3D are precisely modelled, and users are provided advanced functionality to apply scalable textures to any surface, and smooth surface geometry. Animated models auto-align to surfaces.
Terrain modeling
Total station points with common descriptions snap together as lines or polycurves, and snap to elevation points, you can then easily model the terrain by using snaps and the fill tools. Then you can fill those areas with many choices of textures to create a realistic and deadly accurate terrain model.
Auto-dimension tool 
Snap between points or shapes and generate a precisely accurate dimension on the diagram with options for font size, offset, colors and all the other features expected from a powerful CAD application.

FX3 users can "draw" lines and shapes, or use the same tools to create precise 3D drawing objects like traffic cones, barrels, guard rails, chain link fences, railway tracks, no post concrete guard rails, etc. Each of these objects allows precision editing (size, color, interval etc.) using the Properties dialog.

FX3 makes it super easy to copy diagrams and even sections of diagrams directly to other applications. Creating narrative reports or Powerpoint presentations using FX3’s powerful diagrams has never been easier. Select an area on the diagram, copy and paste into your desired application.

Digital photo friendly
FX3 is the only application that allows you to import and instantly scale aerial photographs, digital camera pictures in horizontal, vertical, or even perspective format. All imagery imported to the FX3 canvas is automatically rendered to 3D at the click of a button.
Snaps
Turns on the "Snaps" and to snap lines and other drawing shapes to midpoints, end points, circle centers, measurement point centers and any vertex. With FX3 snapping means snapping to x,y and Z.
When you download from total station data to the measurement log, the common points auto-connect in lines or polylines and snap to the elevation points.

Add Parallel lines, arcs, polycurves
FX3 allows you to draw a line, arc, or polycurve and then to add a parallel at a desired distance from the original. Simply enter the distance and the new line, arc, or poly appears. In the case of the 3 point arc or polycurve, the change in radius is calculated to make the positioning of roadway lines easy.
Precise vehicle insertion
FX3 allows users to choose any vehicle from 1971 to present and insert it on the diagram precisely to scale. The vehicle exhibits on the 2D and 3D diagram precisely to scale illustrating precise wheelbase, center of gravity,door pillar positions for visibility, bumper profiles, etc.
Damaging vehicles to scale
FX3 is the only product anywhere that allows users to change the vehicle profile in 2D and 3D and illustrate the damage profile. This is accomplished via an ingenious interface in which users can use your mouse and move vertices which display the crush relative to the un deformed perimeter of the vehicle. The damage will be precisely to scale allowing users to determine speed from crush via the FX3 calculation tool (CrashMath) and allow users to determine collision alignment by damage profiles.
Precision Models
FX3 provides a comprehensive library of specific 3D models so your 3D scenes are realistic representation of the real scene. Of course, our models can be damaged to precise damage measurements, and be animated – in real time.
Custom Models/Symbols
Build your own custom models are easily built and stored in your library which automatically generates an icon for you. You can instantly import and use models from any other application.
