EdgeFX 6.1.3 Released!

Visual Statement is pleased to announce the release of EdgeFX 6.1.3. Available to all of Visual Statement’s EdgeFX customers, this release includes a multitude of tweaks and refinements to the program. The first major release, EdgeFX 6.1.3 also includes new features that have been introduced to maintenance customers only.  

Features and refinements for EdgeFX 6.1.3 include:

Maintenance Customers Only

• Autocode Generator – automatic generation of objects within a scene based on coded measurement log points.
• Google Maps – added to satellite imagery options in addition to Bing Maps.

All EdgeFX Customers

• 2010 Vehicle Specs Database – vehicle specs have been updated to include specs for 2010, and early models of 2011.
• Improved Labelling of Measurement Log Points – “smart” labelling options to increase readability. Point labels now display at a constant size, so labels do not become large when the user zooms in.
• Improved Printing (High Resolution) – adjustable print quality (low to high resolution), faster loading for print preview and gray scale print option.
• Screen Shot Preview – image quality can be adjusted (low to high resolution) and gray scale option is available. Screenshots can be created using either the current camera view or an overhead view which will automatically adjust zoom to optimal setting. Users can also suppress screenshot preview for a more streamlined workflow, and choose an output folder and filename for saved screenshots.
• Interface – main application window can now be resized and dragged to a secondary monitor.
• Zoom to Extents – users can now take motion paths into account when zooming to extents by holding the shift key before clicking the "Zoom to Extents" button.
• Drawing Tool Dimensions – dimensions are now always displayed at a reasonable size, even as you zoom in and out.
• Skidmarks – users can set start and end speed for entire skidmark, or on a specific segment.
• Models – models can now be made partially transparent.
• SmartRooms – selected walls will show wall side indicators.
• Dimension Tool – arrow heads now scale with the dimension length, up to a maximum size. Dimension labels are shown at a constant size, so that they are not oversized and obscure scene elements when zoomed in.  For elevation changes, dimension shows slope, horizontal and vertical distances.
• Internationalization – Spanish support has now been added.
