EdgeFX 6.1.7 Release

Visual Statement is pleased to announce the release of EdgeFX 6.1.7. This release includes improvements to existing features that will be available to all EdgeFX customers, as well as the new Sign Editor feature, which will be available to maintenance customers only.
 
Features for Maintenance Customers include:

VS Sign Editor - This innovative feature allows users to create customized signs by either modifying one of the existing signs in the EdgeFX object library, or by creating a sign from scratch that is specific to the needs of your scene.
Giving you complete control of the size and shape of the sign as well as background colors or images, you can also draw objects on the sign surface (i.e. text, lines, polygons), and save your custom design as a template for future use.

Features for all EdgeFX customers include:

Momentum Tool & Reports

- Improved layout for momentum properties panel
- Custom window for edits to acceleration zones, added support for instantaneous deceleration zones
- Momentum tool now supports in-line collisions, shows vehicle bounding boxes
- Labels have been added for pre/post impact paths, PDOF lines, departure angles
- Momentum tool - post-impact path drag factor defaults to a more realistic 0.66
- When creating motion path from momentum, option to copy vehicle specs into momentum calculation
- Comparison section is now hidden in a momentum report if values have not been entered

Drawing & Rendering

- Improved labeling for scales images with guidelines for scaling line
- Rendering improvements for horizon, clouds, and ground elements
- Updated default dashed line spacing as per USDOT design manual
- Several additional program refinements.
