VS Now Offering Electronic Submission in Colorado

October 7, 2011 – In partnership with the Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR), Visual Statement is excited to offer electronic submission of the State of Colorado Traffic Accident Report, the DR 2447.
Visual Statement provides a complete traffic collision reporting system, through which a state collision form is completed with ReportBeam software and the SmartRoads diagramming tool. Data can then be transmitted to a centralized document management system and submitted electronically to the State.
This turn-key system can be deployed quickly with minimal time and resources, and is capable of supporting multiple report types (Collision, Citation, DUI, Crime) and other forms requested by an agency.
Reducing costs associated with printing, mailing and administrative labor, the ReportBeam system can offer tremendous savings to an agency suffering budget cuts in tough economical times.
Offering several advantages to both the submitting agency and the State, Susan Woods, the Manager of Administration at the Colorado DOR, urges agencies to think about switching over to electronic submission.
“I believe [agencies] would experience the same benefits we experience [at the State level] - road safety - local road engineers would have access to the data quickly, one point of entry reducing error rates due to data entry, plus the ability to pinpoint locations with higher accidents to monitor for road safety,” says Wood.
