I've often heard users comment: "My 3D recordings and screenshots in Windows Vista do not show my scene. What's going on?"
The issue is related to Microsoft Windows Vista's Aero interface (Desktop Composition).
The solution is actually very simple...
Click Start -> Computer
Select C: Drive, Program Files, VS Investigator Suite, Vista.NET
*If you have 64bit Windows you will need to browse to Program Files (x86)
Find Vista.VSI.Net.R3.exe, right-click -> Properties, select the Compatibility tab.
Check the Disable desktop composition checkbox and click Apply (then Ok).
That's all there is to it. Every time you launch 3D the Aero interface will disable and when 3D closes it will re-enable itself automatically.
