EdgeFX
In EdgeFX you will want to go to the “Measurements” tab along the top of the toolbar.

Once in Measurements, select the “Import from mFX™ ” option.
At this point the interface becomes the same as with the FX3 program and you will see this window.
The mFX Import Wizard has 2 options:
1. Import from a file that has already been saved to my computer.
2. Import from a scene that is stored on my Pocket PC
If you are importing directly from your handheld (option 2) then you will want to make sure that Microsoft ActiveSync is installed. (this program facilitates communication between the handheld and the computer)

Select the file you wish to import into EdgeFX, select next, and you are ready to continue your diagram on EdgeFX.
You may see a screen pop up like the one below. This is when some of your data points fall below the ground plane and gives the following options:
1. Take no action (this will mean some of your points will not be visible in top down view with the ground on)
2. Lower the ground plane (lowers the ground plane to below the lowest data point)
3 Raise the baseline elevation of the imported points. (this raises the lowest data point to an elevation above the ground plane)
Even if you do not use any of these options, you can manually lower the ground plane under the Scene tab.
