Creating articulated vehicles in EdgeFX is similar to FX3.
Articulating a vehicle works best when done in the Top Down mode.
Step 1. - Drag onto your scene your desired truck and trailer
Step
2. - Select both the truck and the trailer by dragging the mouse around
them both or click on each while holding the "SHIFT" key on the
keyboard. On the left side of the screen under Actions, select Create Articulated Vehicle.
Step
3. - You new articulated system will appear over top of the original
truck and trailer. Delete the originals and leave only the articulated
system.
Step 4. - Select the articulated system then select "Edit Configuration" from the properties panel.

Step
5. - Click on the truck, you will see a red square appear. The red square represents the point on the truck where the
trailer is connected. IE: the pivot point of the articulated system
with respect to the truck. Simply move this red square (position
using the center of the square) until it most accurately reflects the
real world position that you are trying to recreate where the trailer attaches to the truck.

Step
6. - Click on the trailer, you will see a purple square and a green
circle appear. The purple square represents the point on the trailer
where the truck is connected. IE: the pivot point of the articulated
system with respect to the trailer. Simply move this purple square which will move the trailer forward or back. Move the trailer until the point where the trailer connects is over where it connects to the truck. The
green circle represents the trailers pivot point and is generally near
the center of the rear axial group.
Step 7. - Uncheck "Edit Configuration" in the properties panel.

Step 8. - Finished. You can now use your articulated system.
