This program is a great blessing to us who had to hand-draw, calculate and make conclusions which took a very long time. Thank you very much for making my work a whole lot easier.
I do thank the management and staff of Visual Statement Company for being chosen of the first diagram contest, This program has been a great help in saving valuable time in drawing, calculations and now animations, I do not know how now how to work without it.
It is very flexible to use even when there is not any symbols shown and I have to create my own. I do hope in the near future that lots more symbols of trees and commercial vehicle will be available.
Much Thanks,
Assist. Supt. Richard Rahming

This diagram was from a Traffic Homicide Investigation I was assigned to in April 2004 which was shown to the DA's Office and Grand Jury. I used the diagram and Visual Analyst formulas for distance and speed from the evidence I gathered from the scene to present my case to the Grand Jury. I also used screen shots of the 3D diagram to show each movement of the vehicles in pre and post collision. Unit #1 did not leave any skidmarks but unit #3 behind unit #1 left skidmarks on the roadway and both units said they were going 55 MPH in a 70 MPH speed limit. I was able to show the Grand Jury that unit #1 and unit #3 were going over the 70 MPH speed limit which the Grand Jury came back with a True Bill on unit #1 for Vehicle Homicide.
The diagram was first done on Vista fx and with the new Vista FX2 it only took me 28 minutes going back over my notes in the case. I purchased the Visual Statement program for myself and it has been a great help to me in my Traffic Homicide Investigations at work. Vista FX2 is the best and easiest diagram program I have used and seen on the market.

Without Vista, it would have taken me a lifetime to diagram this incident. It only took me 3 hours to draw this 1100+ foot diagram that included both sides of a freeway and a frontage road. V-1 Astro Van started out southbound on US 101, had a seizure took out telephone pole, Point 13, causing wires to go down across entire freeway. As he proceeds onto frontage road taking out parked vehicle in parking lot, northbound vehicle hits falling wires and the tension on wires pulls 7 poles down onto the frontage road onto more parked vehicles. Looked like a war zone. Guess who gets called away from doing traffic breaks to do the diagram because she has the cool diagramming program?
Many thanks to participants who entered in Visual Statement’s first diagramming contest in 2005.
