SMAC FX - Simulation

SMAC FX sets the standard for simulations in ease of use and accuracy. You work right on your FX3 diagram or any .dxf, .dwg diagram from any CAD program.
Users place vehicles at impact and create incoming paths – so the vehicles animate into the collision or straight or curvilinear paths. You simply set the incoming speeds, the post impact parameters ( all the normal SMAC inputs ) and hit Play. The vehicles run into the impact, and SMAC predicts the resulting motion and instantly presents the damage.
When to use SMAC FX
Use to confirm Momentum Analysis Results.
SMAC FX can be used to verify the results from a Crash FX momentum analysis. A great way to double check and to know you have done your job right.
Simulate different scenarios
Different scenarios such as inconsistent witness reports can be examined quickly by simply changing pre or post impact parameters, which result in different outcomes complete with 3D animations and reports.
Accurate SMAC model
SMAC FX uses the Simulation Model for Automobile Collisions (SMAC) – refined by Brian McHenry and fully verified for accuracy.
Our software engineers used the proven SMAC algorithms, added an easy to use interface and integrated it right into FX3 eliminating the need for additional software.
Live Damage Display
SMAC FX precisely calculates damage including crush depth, for accurate results. Damage is also applied to the model/s at the time of impact in 2D or 3D.
Set parameters precisely
All parameters that are needed for the SMAC FX Simulation, such as Vehicle weights, Speeds, Steering, Friction, Stiffness Coefficients etc., can be inserted for more accurate results.
Precise vehicle weights and dimensions are available from the Vehicle Specs Database in FX3 as well as other resources. If you cant find what you need in FX3, then you can use the resources on our website.

Reports
Detailed reports including Vehicle Specs., 6 Point Crush Profile measurements, Simulation diagram and time distance report at custom time increments, are available when you create a simulation.
2D or 3D Animations
Any Smac FX simulation is viewed in 2D or 3D and can be exported as a powerful presentation movie in a variety of formats.
