William Mael

Mr. Mael has over twenty five years experience in the collision reconstruction industry as a former Law Enforcement Reconstructionist and in serving the legal, educational and insurance communities.  Bill holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Transportation Safety and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree. Mr. Mael has been recognized with academic credentials from the State of Colorado’s Department of Education and various other state entities and educational institutions as a post secondary instructor and law enforcement trainer.

Mr. Mael has been involved as a collision reconstruction trainer for over 20 years serving several entities including Colorado State University, Colorado Department of Transportation, Wyoming Department of Transportation and most recently with a project sponsored by the US Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice, Law Enforcement Technology Center at the University of Denver.  This project allows Bill the opportunity to interact and present reconstruction courses to law enforcement personnel in a ten state region from Montana to Texas. Bill has been a long time VisualStatement user completing his advanced VistaFX2 and  instructor training at the VS Headquarters in Kamploops, BC, Canada.  

Mr. Mael belongs to numerous industry related professional associations such as Society of Automotive Engineers, Society of Accident Reconstructiontists, NAPARS and others.  Bill is Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) holding registration no. 42.  Bill and his wife of 29 years, Jeri along with their cat Sammy make their home in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.
